Remote Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Primary Care

Overview

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care, and ongoing evaluation.

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory setting.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic findings.
• Provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to policies.
• Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred experience of 3 years or more in Primary Care or Urgent Care.
• Skilled in taking medical histories and assessing medical conditions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and establish effective working relationships.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing required.
• Registered Nurse [RN] license preferred.
• Nurse Practitioner [NP] / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN] license preferred.
• 3 years or more experience as a nurse practitioner in Primary Care or Urgent Care preferred.
• Ability to maintain quality control standards.
• Ability to react calmly in emergency situations.
• Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Effective communication skills.
