Overview

The Medical Assistant II role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers.

• Assists junior Medical Assistants with day-to-day questions and responsibilities.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and record vital signs.
• Explain treatment procedures and physician instructions to patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of direct Medical Assistant experience or medical field work required.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in busy environments.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and medical office software.
• Ability to collect blood samples and other specimens.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
