Overview

The Imaging Technician at Nantucket Cottage Hospital is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing excellent patient care.

In Short

• Perform Diagnostic Radiographic and CT Scan, MRI, or Mammography.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Interact with patients to fulfill their imaging needs.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for assigned modality.
• Accurately acquire and transmit images to PACS.
• Assist Radiologists with procedures.
• Document all procedures and patient interactions.
• Adhere to infection control guidelines.
• Work in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited program.
• ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), or ARRT (M) certification required.
• Current state licenses and BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to work unsupervised in two modalities.
• Strong interpersonal and technical skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing work conditions.
• Knowledge of imaging processes and safety standards.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Willingness to work on-call and flexible hours.
