Overview

The Clinical Investigation Technician plays a vital role in the CCI Specimen Processing Laboratory, supporting the handling and processing of specimens while ensuring compliance with research protocols and maintaining high-quality laboratory services.

In Short

• Full-time position, primarily day shift with some weekend coverage.
• Support the Specimen Processing Laboratory and Biosafety Level 2 lab.
• Assist with handling and processing specimens according to established protocols.
• Maintain quality service parameters in the processing area.
• Perform routine specimen analysis and record results.
• Responsible for documentation and data management of specimens.
• Participate in internal and external educational programs.
• Assist in training new personnel in laboratory procedures.
• Maintain inventory of lab supplies and order as necessary.
• Contribute to a team-oriented environment under supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
• No experience in lieu of a degree accepted.
• Basic computer experience required.
• 0-1 year of research-related lab experience preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently within a team structure.
• Knowledge of specimen handling and processing procedures.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job.
