Overview

The Clinical Investigation Technician will support research studies in the Division of Sleep and Circadian Disorders, working under the supervision of research managers and principal investigators, while following established policies and procedures.

In Short

  • Independently support research studies related to sleep and circadian disorders.
  • Instruct subjects on the use of study devices and obtain informed consent.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze research data.
  • Prepare and maintain regulatory documentation for studies.
  • Create REDCap surveys, questionnaires, and databases.
  • Train and schedule students for various tasks.
  • Troubleshoot specialized data collection devices.
  • Maintain contact with study participants and coordinate in-lab visits.
  • Work shifts may include day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday hours.
  • Contribute to the execution of research protocols and measurements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
  • 0-1 year of research-related experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of research protocols.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Professionalism and respect for subjects' rights.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with peers.
