Overview

The 8th Grade Math Mentor at Williamsburg Learning is responsible for delivering transformational learning experiences through online classes, engaging students in mathematics, and fostering a culture of belonging and growth.

In Short

• Teach 4 live math courses, approximately 30 hours per week.
• Utilize the 6 Mentor Practices to optimize student learning.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Engage students using the Socratic Method.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Communicate effectively with students and parents.
• Adapt teaching methods for online learning environments.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to company policies.
• Foster a culture of belonging and right action.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to curriculum improvement.

Requirements

• BA/BS with knowledge of middle school Math.
• Current Teaching License with Mathematics Education Endorsement.
• Resident of Utah or Colorado.
• Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in technology and online teaching tools.
• Alignment with Williamsburg Learning’s educational philosophy.
• Organized and flexible in a changing environment.

• Experience with middle and high school students preferred.
