Overview

The Wikimedia Foundation is looking for a Movement Communications Specialist to work with product and technology teams on their collaboration with Wikimedia communities.

In Short

• Craft agile communications strategies for product and technology activities.
• Deepen connections with online volunteer editors through multi-lingual communications.
• Regularly meet with product teams to understand project plans and challenges.
• Monitor community channels for news and proactively respond to questions.
• Facilitate two-way dialogue between communities and product teams.

Requirements

• Excellent written English and fluency in at least one other language.
• Organized, efficient, and proactive with deadlines.
• Knowledge of Wikimedia communities' dynamics and cultures.
• Familiarity with product development lifecycle.
• Experience leading discussions with diverse volunteers.
• Experience with agile communications strategies.
• Emotionally mature and self-reliant.
• Competence in remote and intercultural teamwork.
• Experience working with technical and non-technical teams.
