Whatnot is the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe, redefining e-commerce by blending community, shopping, and entertainment. We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design and development of ML models for personalization and feed recommendations.

In Short

• Lead the design and productionization of ML models for buyer personalization.
• Manage end-to-end ML projects including data collection, model training, and deployment.
• Collaborate with Backend Software Engineers for implementation of ML solutions.
• Establish ML best practices across teams.
• Support product initiatives for growth and exploration.
• 4+ years of experience in building and deploying ML models.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in applied statistics and data visualization tools.
• Preferred experience in Discovery and Personalization domains.

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience in ML.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch and XGBoost.
• Strong communication skills in a remote environment.
• Experience with backend development is a plus.
