In Short

• Act as a trusted advisor on U.S. and global employment matters.
• Develop and manage compliant employment programs and practices.
• Draft and review employment-related documents.
• Identify and mitigate employment legal risks.
• Provide mentorship for hiring and employment practices globally.
• Work with the People team on policies and programs.
• Stay current on labor and employment law updates.
• Supervise outside counsel on employment matters.
• Represent Whatnot in employment disputes.
• Assist with general legal needs as they arise.

Requirements

• A law degree and admission to practice in at least one US jurisdiction.
• 7+ years of experience advising on employment-related issues.
• Experience navigating global employment law issues.
• Experience handling employment litigation matters.
• Outstanding communication and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and legal writing skills.
• Willingness to take on new challenges.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage internal employees and outside counsel.
• A good attitude and a curious mindset.
