Overview

The Fixed Asset Accountant III role at Western Digital involves managing Fixed Asset operations, ensuring compliance, and leading month-end closing activities in the APAC region.

In Short

• Responsible for Fixed Asset operations including monitoring, capitalization, and transfers.
• Lead month-end closing activities for APAC.
• Post FA accruals and perform monthly subledger close.
• Prepare roll forward reports and account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with SOX and KPMG audits.
• Coordinate physical disposal of fixed assets.
• Conduct annual physical counts of fixed assets.
• Prepare inter and intra-company asset transfers.
• Support monthly Capital Request reviews.
• Streamline and improve accounting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in Fixed Asset accounting.
• Experience in Global Business Services or Shared Services preferred.
• Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems, especially Oracle Cloud or SAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and fixed asset processes.
• Ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
• Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
