Overview

As a Financial Accountant within Global Finance Operations at Western Digital, you will handle day-to-day transactional activities and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

In Short

• Responsible for financial transactions including offsetting and billing cancellations.
• Assist in the month-end close process.
• Respond to internal customer inquiries regarding discrepancies.
• Participate in process improvement projects.
• Validate requests and communicate with requestors for clarification.
• Coordinate payment related accruals.
• Investigate and resolve inquiries.
• Post manual journal entries for adjustments.
• Work cross-functionally to resolve issues.
• Open to temporary remote work arrangement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable.
• Experience in Shared Service or Global Business Services preferred.
• Familiar with financial software, especially Oracle Cloud or SAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Knowledgeable in reconciliation processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Good judgment in handling confidential information.
