Overview

The Scientific Content Editor at Medscape will be responsible for developing and editing educational content for healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to editorial standards.

In Short

• Initiate and produce project documents.
• Develop and format PowerPoint presentations.
• Generate tables and figures from educational content.
• Guide graphics editors on figure creation.
• Select images to enhance educational materials.
• Ensure quality control throughout the content development process.
• Facilitate material hand-off between editorial and web production teams.
• Maintain consistency in editorial style and quality.
• Provide insights and guidance on editorial best practices.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life science, English, or journalism.
• Minimum of 3 years' medical/scientific editing experience.
• Proven editing skills with high attention to detail.
• In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and statistical concepts.
• Familiarity with editorial processes and AMA style.
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
