Medical Writer - Remote

Overview

The Medical Writer will leverage scientific/clinical expertise and exceptional medical writing skills to support the development of Medscape Medical Affairs programs delivered at the highest standards.

In Short

• Create high-quality scientific, medical, and/or clinical content for healthcare providers.
• Develop multimedia program deliverables for digital, live virtual, and in-person formats.
• Ensure content alignment with program goals and client expectations.
• Engage with thought leaders and medical experts for content development.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical issues and relevant literature.
• Create medically appropriate educational content adhering to industry regulations.
• Support application of adult learning theory for healthcare provider education.
• Collaborate with team members on project quality and progress.
• Demonstrate accountability against performance standards.
• Complete projects within established timelines and specifications.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in developing medical education programs.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience as a medical writer/content developer.
• Preference for candidates with Medical Affairs experience.
• Expertise in hematology/oncology, neurology, or immunology preferred.
• Proficient in written and verbal English; additional languages a plus.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
• Advanced degree in a medical or science-related specialty preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to work on shared networks.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
