Venesco, LLC is seeking a Scientific Editor to support the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, CA. The role involves editing medical, technical, and scientific works for publication and requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

In Short

• Conduct editorial review and provide recommendations on various research documents.
• Edit for grammar, punctuation, and formatting according to specific guidelines.
• Maintain and edit guidelines and product lists.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to implement policy changes.
• Review and recommend improvements to existing SOPs and guides.
• Provide guidance on AMA, APA, and CMOS manuals.
• Perform surge support functions for review and approval processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent DoD experience.
• 3 years of experience editing medical and scientific documentation.
• Strong critical review and editing skills.
• Experience preparing technical and scientific documents.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and virtual meeting platforms.
