Overview

As an Associate in Fund Operations at Wealthsimple, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our financial services related to Alternative Investment Funds and Managed Investing products, contributing to our mission of helping everyone achieve financial freedom.

In Short

• Own multiple areas of Accounting functionality including reconciliations, audits, and valuations.
• Ensure the accuracy of our Net Asset Value (NAV) and dive deep into financial details.
• Provide clear answers to client inquiries and create ad-hoc reports.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to maintain pristine client data.
• Leverage AI to improve technical efficiency of services.
• Contribute to process improvements within the Fund Operations team.
• Proficient in managing orders, distributions, and capital calls.
• Strong Excel skills required; programming knowledge is a bonus.
• Detail-oriented and organized with a passion for fintech.
• Project management experience is a plus.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in fund management or administration.
• Experience in NAV calculations, tax, and audit preparation.
• Familiarity with reviewing trades and positions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with large datasets under tight deadlines.
• Interest in the fintech and alternative investment sectors.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients effectively.
• Experience with SQL or industry certifications (CPA, CFA) is advantageous.
