Associate, BOR & Tax Operations - Remote

Overview

Wealthsimple is looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our Tax Operations team, focusing on Canadian tax reporting, compliance, and operations.

In Short

• Prepare and validate annual tax slips and reports in compliance with CRA and Revenu Québec.
• Manage daily operations of tax functions to ensure accurate reporting.
• Test and validate tax slip data prior to filing.
• Review client tax documentation for correct classification and withholding.
• Investigate and process tax slip amendments and corrections.
• Distribute monthly client statements and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with teams to address inquiries and support enhancements.
• Perform monthly security pricing reviews for accurate valuations.
• Maintain process documentation for audit readiness.
• Stay informed on tax legislation changes and share updates.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in financial services or tax operations.
• Familiarity with Canadian tax slip types is an asset.
• Strong proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SQL and Jira is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
