Senior Manager of Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced, driven, and detail-oriented accounting professional to join our growing Accounting team as the Senior Manager of Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting, reporting to Senior Director of Accounting. This dual-role position is responsible for technical accounting research and policy development, while also overseeing the build out of the Company’s SEC Reporting function which will include oversight and the preparation of the Company’s SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.

In Short

• Lead technical accounting research and policy development.
• Oversee SEC filings including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
• Collaborate with Legal, FP&A, Product, and external auditors.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP topics.
• Support audit and internal controls for SOX compliance.
• Provide training on technical accounting topics.
• Coordinate the review and approval of SEC filings.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial information in SEC filings.
• Monitor changes in SEC regulations for compliance.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA license required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Experience writing technical accounting memos.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance.
• High attention to detail and analytical rigor.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel.
• Exposure to fintech or regulated industries is a plus.
