Senior Software Development Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a passionate senior software engineer to develop solutions for our mission critical services supporting WatchGuard’s firewall and security products.

In Short

• Design, develop, debug, and deliver successful software solutions that support WatchGuard’s products
• Lead a team of software engineers to deliver software
• Develop resilient applications and services that can withstand multiple failures
• Build things quickly while maintaining the high level of quality and reliability
• Collaborate with other engineers in system design, architectural and code reviews
• Investigate, analyze and make recommendations regarding technology improvements
• Partner with cross functional teams in IT Ops, Engineering, Product, Sales, Technical Support, and QA

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is required
• Solid proven software engineering experience
• Experience with Microsoft solution stack including .Net, C#, MSSQL, PowerShell
• Proven experience with object-oriented programming
• Experience with .NET/.NET Core platform: C#, ASP.NET/Core, MVC
• Experience with MS SQL database design and development
• Experience using WCF, REST, XML, JSON
• Experience with Azure/AWS cloud
• Experience with AKS, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm
• Experience with agile methodologies, lean, and CI
