Business Intelligence Architect - Remote

Overview

Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Architect to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using Power BI. The ideal candidate is an expert in common data stores such as MySQL, BigQuery, Clickhouse, with proven experience maintaining, managing and manipulating systems and data for presentation to meet business needs in PowerBI.

In Short

• Own, architect, and build internal datasets for business intelligence reporting
• Manage existing infrastructure such as Production MySQL cluster, internal CRM database, BigQuery, Power Query, Salesforce, etc.
• Build automated, accurate reporting dashboards
• Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using Power BI
• Develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop
• Create the data model and establish relationships
• Create DAX based calculations and resolve issues
• Resolve issues related to loops and hierarchy
• Create and review models and KPIs
• Work cross-functionally to improve business intelligence architecture and reporting

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack / Power BI and BigQuery
• At least 3 years experience building business and Accounting & Finance-focused visualizations
• Background building ETL pipelines
• Extremely strong SQL skills
• Experience with Several9s DB Ops tools
• Foundational knowledge of Metadata management, Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Analytics
• Strong analytical skill set and ability to translate business processes and data into insights
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, client-facing role
