Head of People - Remote

Overview

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. You’ll own the full People function, reporting directly to the CEO and serving as VRChat’s most senior People leader.

• Own the full People function, including People Operations, Talent & Recruiting, and Culture & Engagement.
• Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team.
• Translate engagement and performance data into executive-level insights.
• Lead and develop a small, high-impact People team.
• Own recruiting strategy with a focus on quality of hire.
• Evolve performance frameworks for accountability.
• Manage compensation strategy and communication.
• Integrate AI into People Operations to enhance employee experience.
• Sustain VRChat’s inclusive, remote-first culture.

Requirements

• 8–12 years in People/HR with leadership experience.
• Proven track record of impactful people programs.
• Experience with remote, globally distributed teams.
• AI-forward mindset in People work.
• Ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making pragmatic decisions.
• Experience with managing diverse teams across multiple regions.
