Overview

As a Senior Data Engineer at Voodoo, you will design, implement, and optimize real-time data pipelines that handle billions of events daily, contributing to the success of our gaming and consumer apps.

• Design and optimize real-time data pipelines.
• Architect data flows for various data types.
• Build scalable event ingestion systems using Kafka, Flink, or similar.
• Manage data infrastructure on Kubernetes.
• Integrate OpenRTB signals into the data platform.
• Ensure high-throughput and low-latency processing.
• Design and manage event schemas and metadata tracking.
• Implement observability and performance monitoring.
• Mentor engineers and advocate for best practices.
• Continuously evaluate new tools and trends.

Requirements

• 2+ years in data or backend engineering.
• Proficiency with stream processing frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Deep understanding of event streaming platforms.
• Experience operating data services in Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Protobuf/Avro and schema evolution.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows.
• Strong debugging skills.
