Overview

Voltus is seeking a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team. This role will put you at the center of a strategic initiative to strengthen our core data infrastructure, the pipelines, models, and platforms that power everything from business analytics to advanced applications in the future.

In Short

• Own and maintain data pipeline architectures ensuring reliability and monitoring.
• Manage and evolve data modeling environments for analysts and engineers.
• Operate and improve orchestration systems like Dagster.
• Evaluate data tooling and guide Voltus toward a sustainable data platform.
• Implement observability for data systems to ensure data quality.
• Champion data governance and documentation.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and engineers.
• Lay groundwork for advanced applications with reliable data access.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a data engineering or infrastructure role.
• Skilled in Python (Bonus: Go).
• Deep experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating data sources.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Experience in workflow orchestration (Airflow, Dagster).
• Comfortable evaluating tradeoffs across analysis platforms.
• Knowledge of BI/analytics tools and support/migrate to them.
• Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and observability.
• Clear communicator across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ownership of critical data infrastructure.
