Director of People - Remote

Voltage Park is on a mission to make machine learning infrastructure accessible to all, from large enterprises and research universities to seed-stage startups and nonprofits. Providing seamless access to compute with pricing and inventory transparency is the future of access to GPUs, and we are the only cloud provider offering a platform that shows all available GPUs with transparent, market-based pricing, in addition to long-term reserve contracts for our customers.

In Short

• This is a remote role, but you must be based in one of our core locations: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, or Chicago.
• We are looking for a Director of People to shape the employee experience at our fast-growing start-up.
• Accountable for strategy, planning, and achievement of the People Team mandate.
• Work closely with the Head of Talent for a seamless transition from candidate to team member.
• Act as a player/coach and HRBP to managers for change management and performance coaching.
• Design, implement, and maintain systems and processes for a high-functioning workplace.
• Ensure people-centric practices that translate into Voltage Park culture.
• Experience in HR at growth stage, engineering-driven environments is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary to explain problems and solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of HR experience, with 3-5 years in senior roles.
• Experience in building inclusive company culture emphasizing accountability and growth.
• Deep understanding of compensation strategy and performance management.
• Proven experience in designing HR systems and compensation programs.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, compliance, and employment law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
