Overview

The Revenue Cycle Analyst provides strategic direction and leadership in delivering all revenue cycle related services, including patient access, coding, revenue integrity, and departmental AR management. The role involves creating and maintaining data for internal analysis and modeling, as well as explaining these activities to both technical and non-technical audiences.

In Short

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Revenue Cycle departments and external contacts.
  • Identify and summarize data trends related to Revenue Cycle information.
  • Develop reports for ongoing business activities.
  • Present data and information for analysis.
  • Work with vendors and internal customers to create data extract files.
  • Provide analysis of data based on user inquiries.
  • Create predictive models for decision support.
  • Deploy reports for self-service analysis.
  • Analyze complex report content and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain Patient Accounting system master files and profiles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Computer Science preferred.
  • Minimum three years of related analytical and/or consulting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of reporting packages (Business Objects) and databases (SQL).
  • Report writing/development experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Revenue Cycle healthcare experience in data analytics and accounting.
  • Strong communication skills for clear verbal and written communication.
  • Detail-oriented thinking and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
