SEO Content Writer - Remote

Overview

VisionPoint Marketing is searching for an experienced, gifted storyteller with a knack for SEO to join as our team full-time as an SEO Content Writer with a 100% remote option. The ideal candidate will have the ability to write with a journalistic style and contribute to the creation of overarching strategies. The SEO Content Writer will be a member of our growing Digital Experience & Analytics Team and will report to the Vice President of Digital Experience and Analytics.

In Short

• Create and publish engaging content that adheres to inbound/SEO best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to plan, develop, write, and optimize site content.
• Lead discovery sessions to learn about opportunities for content strategy and development.
• Craft engaging content that aligns with identified SEO content strategies.
• Oversee the strategy and quality control of the work that helps deliver content at scale.
• Engage in ongoing iterative improvement of the content strategy process.
• Stay up-to-date with developments in the industry and generate new ideas.
• Provide recommendations based on marketing analytics to address business challenges.
• Report on SEO campaign performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Be willing to learn technical SEO skills, including conducting audits.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in strategic marketing content related to inbound marketing.
• A four-year bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, business, or relevant experience.
• Experience in developing digital content and managing content for websites.
• Ability to collaborate with web team members for content strategy alignment.
• Able to relate to and understand a variety of audiences.
• Able to conduct keyword research and create on-page optimization.
• Analyze website visitor data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Keep current with inbound marketing strategies and best practices.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task writing assignments.
• Strong attention to detail and command of grammar.
