Payroll Manager - Remote

Overview

As Via's Payroll Manager, you will manage the full employee payroll process from preparation, records maintenance, and monthly financial reporting for Via’s unionized and employee drivers across the United States.

In Short

• Oversee bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing for employee drivers and unionized employees.
• Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements in payroll processes.
• Work with Finance to allocate payroll costs accurately.
• Ensure payroll practices adhere to applicable labor laws.
• Perform periodic audits of payroll data.
• Design and implement process improvements to payroll.
• Ensure benefit deductions and tax withholdings are accurate.
• Lead monthly financial reporting related to payroll.
• Serve as a primary contact for payroll-related questions.
• Exercise confidentiality regarding payroll information.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in payroll management.
• Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday).
• Comprehensive knowledge of wage and hour laws.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
