In Short

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand Verto's customer base in the CEMAC region with a focus on XAF.
  • Conduct market research and analyse competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including upselling and cross-selling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and customer success, to deliver optimal solutions for clients.
  • Develop and manage sales budgets and forecasts, including pipeline management and performance tracking.
  • Use data to accurately track and report sales performance, refining strategies based on insights.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, competitors, and developments in the CEMAC market.
  • Establish and implement sales processes, including enablement and training programs.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the sales team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales management experience, ideally in payments, banking, or related industries within a B2B context.
  • Proven track record of meeting revenue targets and building successful sales teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.
  • Deep understanding of SMBs and strong contacts within key business sectors across the CEMAC region.
