Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting - Remote

Overview

The Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting will play a critical role in maturing Vercel’s accounting function to one day operate as a public company. This role will oversee Vercel’s most complex accounting areas, lead technical accounting research, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.

In Short

• Own key technical accounting areas including stock-based compensation, acquisition accounting, and leases.
• Prepare audited financial statements and disclosures.
• Lead SEC reporting readiness efforts.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Investor Relations, and Legal teams.
• Educate Finance and Accounting teams on technical matters.
• Support acquisitions including due diligence and purchase accounting.
• Support the monthly and quarterly close process.
• Maintain and update accounting policies.
• Drive special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive technical accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting expertise in U.S. GAAP.
• Hands-on experience preparing financial statements under PCAOB and SEC standards.
• Experience supporting an IPO and operating within a public company environment.
• Curious and forward-thinking with a passion for AI and automation.
• Excellent communicator skilled at explaining complex concepts.
