Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

The Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of the company’s financial reporting and technical accounting processes. This role involves researching complex accounting issues, implementing new accounting standards, and preparing financial statements.

In Short

• Ensure compliance with reporting requirements, including the preparation of interim and financial statements.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and footnotes.
• Coordinate and manage the external audit process, acting as a main point of contact for external auditors.
• Assist in the preparation and review of management reports critical to corporate decision making.
• Research and interpret complex accounting issues, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Provide guidance on technical accounting matters.
• Implement new accounting standards across the organization.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Collaborate closely with various departments to ensure the integrity of financial information.
• Fluency in English and a CPA certification are required.

Requirements

• Bilingual English / Spanish required.
• CPA certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting or consulting/advisory roles.
• In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition and lease accounting.
