We’re looking for a Sports Trading Manager to lead a high-performing team of traders and play a key role in shaping the trading strategy across the business.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to develop and implement innovative trading strategies for global markets.

In Short

• Lead and manage a team of four traders, focusing on coaching, development and recruitment to create a high-performance, results-oriented culture.
• Conduct regular industry benchmarking to assess and refine trading and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with global best practices.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and implement a strategic roadmap for the Sportsbook, including setting clear objectives and KPIs to optimize trading margins.
• Establish and maintain betting limits across all sports and markets to handle market competitiveness.
• Oversee internal trading operations such as real-time bet noting, stake factoring for individual sports players, and timely odds adjustments to safeguard general sports margins.
• Develop, maintain, and analyse profitability reports in partnership with Business Intelligence team, ensuring accurate tracking of sports P&L and competitive pricing insights.
• Provide hands-on support for manual odds review across a broad spectrum of sports, events, and markets, including both pre-match and in-play betting.
• Act as a key point of contact for the third-party sportsbook platform providers, raising feature requests and driving product improvements to enhance trading tools and services.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all event listings by working closely with the trading team, maintaining a user-focused and engaging sportsbook experience.
• Facilitate continuous communication with brands, Product, and Customer Support teams to organise new marketing campaigns, optimize event visibility, improve trading workflows, while aligning with partners expectations.

Requirements

• Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to lead a 24/7 trading operation and provide flexible support during peak times, including evenings and weekends.
• Extensive experience in Sportsbook trading, with a strong understanding of trading operations, processes, and supporting back-end systems.
• Customer-focused approach, capable of balancing profitability controls with the needs of partners and players.
• In-depth knowledge of sports betting, including market dynamics, betting rules, and emerging trading technologies.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a data-driven approach to optimizing trading margins and performance.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong networks across teams and functions.
• Proactive leader who leads by example, takes initiative, and drives continuous improvement.
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to communicate effectively and build trust across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
