Overview

The Staff Accountant role is essential for ensuring the financial health of Velocity Maintenance Services and supporting its mission to deliver unmatched service to customers.

In Short

• Perform detailed account reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and intercompany transactions.
• Process and manage Accounts Payable, including vendor statement reconciliation.
• Administer and reconcile commissions and incentive programs.
• Support the month-end close process with journal entries, accruals, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate customer and vendor records in our systems.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Collaborate on special projects to improve financial processes and reporting.
• Serve as a financial resource for field operations, providing insights and support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
