Fund Controller - Remote

Overview

The Fund Controller is responsible for ensuring the correctness, consistency, and integrity of fund accounting across Decile's supported venture funds, working closely with senior accountants and partners.

In Short

• Own accounting standards and policies across venture funds
• Serve as the escalation point for complex accounting questions
• Review and approve financial outputs requiring accounting judgment
• Ensure consistent accounting treatment across funds
• Partner with audit and tax providers for predictable reviews
• Guide Senior Fund Accountants in applying standards
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on accounting workflows
• Support fund migrations from an accounting perspective
• Identify patterns for tooling solutions

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in fund accounting
• Deep understanding of venture capital fund structures
• Experience in complex, multi-fund environments
• Ability to translate accounting requirements into systems
• Familiarity with Limited Partnership Agreements
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication skills for non-accountants
• Ability to lead through collaboration
• Comfort in a remote, fast-moving organization
