Director of AI Labs - Remote

Overview

Valsoft is looking for a Head of AI Labs (Director of AI Innovation) to join our team remotely in Europe with a preference for candidates based in Ireland.

In Short

• Lead a new AI Innovation function supporting a portfolio of 10+ software companies.
• Establish and lead a centralized AI Lab structured as cross-functional pods.
• Define and execute a portfolio-wide AI strategy in collaboration with company leaders.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of AI projects from ideation to commercialization.
• Hire and manage a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
• Guide AI integration into existing products and new offerings.
• Support go-to-market efforts for AI-driven products.
• Stay updated on emerging AI/ML technologies.
• Define best practices in AI ethics and development standards.
• Serve as an AI thought leader internally and externally.

Requirements

• 7+ years in technology/product leadership with AI/ML experience.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies including NLP and computer vision.
• Strong business sense with SaaS or enterprise software experience.
• Proven success in innovation-driven environments.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
