Senior HOA Accountant - Remote

Overview

We are a rapidly growing, innovative hospitality company reinventing the timeshare experience across discovery, booking, and stay. We seek a Senior HOA Accountant to be a key contributor in shaping our HOA accounting operations as we integrate new resorts and expand our product lines to service our HOA customers and partners.

In Short

• Assist with the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements using fund accounting
• HOA board reporting and other ad hoc reports
• Collaborate & communicate across organizational departments to obtain information necessary for accurate financial reporting and improve processes
• Understand GL coding, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close monthly books
• Maintain general ledger, including recording of journal entries
• Prepare bank reconciliations and other various schedules/reconciliations
• Accrual of payroll costs and other accruals as needed
• Assist with various accounts receivable invoicing and posting of payments
• Processing and reconciling intercompany transactions
• Assist with annual audits; research and gather necessary account information and documents

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• At least 3-5 years’ progressive experience in accounting
• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
• Ability to be flexible and assess risk to make quick decisions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Skilled in time management in a remote work setting and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Excellent critical thinking skills
• Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations
