Overview

The Customer Service Team Lead plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the customer service team by providing guidance, training, and operational oversight.

In Short

  • Supports the Supervisor, Customer Service and is responsible for day-to-day operational functions.
  • Assists team members in customer service by answering their questions in a timely manner.
  • Provides call resolution on escalated calls.
  • Conducts side-by-side evaluations and/or coaching for each team member.
  • Ensures new hires have appropriate training and resources.
  • Manages staff by monitoring phone call length and breaks.
  • Assists in taking calls to clear the queue.
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must secure and maintain a Property and Casualty Insurance License.
  • Employment is contingent upon adhering to the established pre-licensing course timeline.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of call center experience or two years in Customer Service.
  • Proficient reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual communication skills in both English and Spanish preferred.
  • Superb phone and soft skills, including active listening and independent problem-solving.
  • Must have attributes for a team leader committed to growth and development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Data Entry and proficient keyboard skills.
  • Ability to navigate between multiple screens and databases.
