Material Handler I - Remote

Overview

The Material Handler I performs physical and administrative tasks related to material handling, including shipping, receiving, and storage of materials, while operating a forklift.

In Short

• Unload and direct movement of shipments.
• Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Gather and place items into order picking containers.
• Prepare packing slips, shipping labels, and other documents.
• Maintain clean and orderly warehouse work areas.
• Replenish stock shelves as needed.
• Operate a forklift and perform driving duties.
• Work after hours as required.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0 to 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to work in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for information processing.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items regularly.
• Certified to operate a forklift.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Certified to handle hazardous material shipments.
