Overview

The Credit & Collections Customer Care Specialist is responsible for handling inbound inquiries from Sysco customers and sales representatives, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues.

In Short

  • Handle inbound calls from customers and sales representatives.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and issues effectively.
  • Perform credit inquiries and invoice retrieval.
  • Make decisions on order releases and document reasons.
  • Collect payment information and validate customer history.
  • Update customer logs in the system post-call.
  • Work Monday to Friday, with some Sunday hours.
  • Requires an Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of customer support experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze past due accounts.
  • Experience in a customer-facing support role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance software.
  • Ability to work across functions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong decision-making skills.
  • Experience in credit and collections preferred.
