The Chargemaster Specialist at USPh plays a crucial role in maintaining and analyzing chargemaster pricing for clinics, ensuring compliance with payer policies, and supporting the payment compliance team.

In Short

  • Maintain and update chargemaster pricing and rationale.
  • Update Medicare expected reimbursement amounts annually.
  • Review and update State Workers Compensation and Medicaid expected amounts annually.
  • Research claim denial issues and root cause problem solving with payers.
  • Support Chargemaster team as needed.
  • Work on special projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing/payment processes preferred.
  • 5 years of clinical coding experience in healthcare setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Health Care, or related field preferred.
  • Certified Medical Coder (CPC, CCA, CCS, CCS-P).
  • Charge master experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and professionalism.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Able to adapt to changing responsibilities and meet deadlines.
