Overview

Medical Associates is looking for an Ancillary Charge Specialist to join our team! This position will initially work in-office during training, with the opportunity to work from home after meeting productivity goals.

In Short

  • Code outpatient ancillary services using proper guidelines.
  • Review system claims scrubber reports and make necessary modifications.
  • Provide educational opportunities for providers based on documentation reviews.
  • Assist in correcting insurance denials for ancillary services.
  • Support clinical and ancillary staff with coding and billing inquiries.
  • Complete assigned projects and duties.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster relationships.
  • General computer knowledge and proficient keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems.
  • Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding.
