Senior Engineering Manager - Auto Retail - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Engineering Manager at Upstart, you will lead a team of engineers directly in building out a monetization platform that ensures profitability of Upstart’s Auto Retail products. You’ll work closely with our Machine Learning team to come up with solutions that need to be delivered at scale.

In Short

• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of services that drive profitability and growth within Upstart’s Auto Lending products.
• Work with cross functional partners including Product Managers, Product Designers, Research Scientists, and Analytics teams to design and deliver high-quality products.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team focused on providing high quality solutions.
• Collaborate with architecture and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with broader engineering goals.
• Manage and communicate project timelines effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development with a minimum of 3 years managing a team directly.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to convey complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
