Overview

UpStart seeks a skilled finance and operations professional to support the expansion of our Fiscal Sponsorship Program, which aims to support the sustainability and development of critical ideas and projects for the Jewish community.

In Short

• Lead the oversight of UpStart's Fiscal Sponsorship Program.
• Act as the primary contact for fiscal sponsees.
• Coordinate with finance and operations teams.
• Support fiscal sponsees on budgets and financial practices.
• Manage program expansion through outreach and recruitment.
• Conduct organizational assessments for new partner organizations.
• Ensure effective communication between teams.
• Maintain legal and operational paperwork.
• Provide coaching on human resources issues.
• Travel up to 3 times a year for team gatherings.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in nonprofit operations.
• Desire to connect with grassroots organizations.
• Understanding of fiscal sponsorship models.
• Experience in project management and team leadership.
• Adaptability to change in organizational and technological aspects.
• Comfort with finance and human resources platforms.
