Overview

The Appellate Project (TAP) is hiring a Program Director to lead the next phase of our programming. We’re looking for a strategic, equity-driven leader excited to build impactful initiatives aligned with our recent strategic plan.

In Short

• Lead the design and implementation of an annual program strategy.
• Oversee daily program operations and logistics.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on systemic barriers to appellate practice.
• Design and implement evaluation strategies to measure program effectiveness.
• Manage the operations structure for TAP’s programs.
• Support and manage the Program Officer and future program team members.
• Cultivate relationships with law firms, judges, and other stakeholders.
• Develop innovative learning environments for programmatic efforts.
• Manage programmatic budgets and grant reporting.
• Assist in developing strategic materials and thought leadership content.

Requirements

• Minimum of ten years of progressive program leadership experience.
• Successful track record of building and executing high-impact programming.
• Experience in both virtual and in-person programming.
• Strong data tracking and evaluation skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and strategic thinking.
• Knowledge of race equity and the appellate field.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with budget management and grant reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
