Overview

The Professional Fee Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for evaluating the financial responsibility of patients, updating accounts, and resolving billing issues to reduce uncompensated care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Three years of professional fee billing experience required.
• Knowledge of collection laws and medical coding preferred.
• Proficient in PC applications, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and problem-solving.
• Ability to meet quality performance standards.
• Customer service orientation and friendly relations with staff.
