Overview

The Community Health Coordinator will support the Center for the Study of Obesity's mission through applied research and outreach efforts related to obesity and health education.

In Short

  • Engage in applied research related to obesity and health education.
  • Support outreach and administrative tasks for ongoing grant projects.
  • Recruit and consent research participants.
  • Collect and manage research data.
  • Maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary research team meetings.
  • Document research activities accurately.
  • Assist in evaluating data concerning research programs.
  • Promote community-based health initiatives.
  • Contribute to the overall mission of the Center for the Study of Obesity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Two to three years of experience in community-based programs.
  • Experience with REDCap data management system.
  • Understanding of public health and nutrition.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage administrative correspondence.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Background check required.
  • Experience in epidemiology preferred.
  • Post-baccalaureate coursework in public health preferred.
