Overview

The Graduate Assistant (GA) at the Center for Community Engagement will support three youth mentoring programs by advising student leaders, managing budgets, and improving processes to enhance mentorship experiences.

• Assist in co-advising mentorship programs.
• Help student leaders with budgeting and inventory management.
• Provide developmental advising to support student leaders.
• Attend weekly meetings and oversee program operations.
• Transport to volunteer sites as needed.

• Required to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Background checks are mandatory.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and enrollment in a Graduate program at UofA.
• Preferred involvement in community engagement programming.
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and oversee others.
• Ability to multi-task and meet hard deadlines.
• Collaborative work skills.
