Junior Development and Operations Engineer - Remote

Overview

This position is for a Junior Development and Operations Engineer who will work on modern cloud-native infrastructures and contribute to the development and operation of scalable platforms in an agile team.

In Short

• Develop and operate a secure, scalable cloud-native infrastructure with AWS, Kubernetes & Terraform.
• Design efficient CI/CD pipelines and optimize deployment processes with GitLab & Helm.
• Monitor and improve platform performance, stability, and cost control.
• Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, and agile development processes.
• Optimize monitoring and alerting strategies for stable operations.

Requirements

• IT education or relevant practical experience, ideally complemented by a degree in computer science.
• At least 3 years of experience in software/operations engineering.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and familiarity with Docker & Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Git, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of infrastructure scripting (Terraform, Ansible).
• Very good English and good German language skills.
• Passion for DevOps technologies and agile teamwork.
• Willingness to share knowledge and openness to pair programming.
