Medical Assistant Student Workforce Integration Lead - Remote

Overview

The Medical Assistant Student Workforce Integration Lead will provide career advising, job preparedness training, externship assistance, and job placement support to students and graduates from Workforce Development partners.

In Short

• Partner with assigned campuses for graduate employment opportunities.
• Provide guidance on job preparedness and externship processes.
• Generate externship and employer partner database.
• Assist in the qualification and maintenance of externship site partners.
• Document and maintain student and employment records.
• Participate in Career Services and Workforce Development meetings.
• Monitor student externship training compliance.
• Collect and upload externship documents and evaluations.
• Manage special projects and other duties as assigned.
• May require some travel to partner locations.

Requirements

• 3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant and 5 years in vocational education.
• Strong proficiency in Career Services and Externship practices.
• Operational knowledge in career services and externship processes.
• Experience with ACCSC and/or ABHES accreditation is a plus.
• Ability to gather data and present findings.
• High proficiency in departmental operations and documentation.
• Excellent relationship building skills.
• Strong researching skills for externship partners.
• Ability to meet placement goals per accreditation standards.
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications.
