Telecoms Design Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Telecoms Design Engineer to support the planning, design, and development of telecommunications infrastructure.

In Short

• Design telecommunications networks including fiber optics, copper, and wireless systems.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, schematics, layouts, and design documentation using CAD/GIS tools.
• Develop detailed design packs including route planning and equipment placement.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and health and safety regulations.
• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and network assessments.
• Collaborate with project managers and field engineers for successful project execution.
• Assist in the preparation of bills of materials, cost estimates, and procurement specifications.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in telecoms infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in CAD and GIS tools.
• Solid understanding of telecommunications principles and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
