Design Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Design Engineer at Sonia, you’ll be responsible for creating user-centric, conversion-optimized designs that not only look great but perform. This role blends design excellence with technical execution, allowing you to work on landing pages, marketing assets, and user flows to support growth and engagement.

In Short

• Design and launch high-converting landing pages and marketing funnels
• Create visual assets for ads, campaigns, and brand communication
• Optimize checkout and onboarding flows for maximum conversion
• Write and refine UI copy to guide users
• Translate ideas into prototypes and polished user interfaces
• Implement designs using React, TypeScript, and CSS
• Collaborate closely with marketing for consistent branding
• Work independently and take ownership of quality

Requirements

• Proficiency in German (C2 or native) and English (C1+)
• Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX, landing pages, and responsive web design
• Ability to implement designs in code (JavaScript, TypeScript, React)
• Deep experience with Figma, GitHub, CSS/HTML
• Demonstrated ability to design and ship complete flows
• Structured thinking and strong sense for user behavior
