Overview

The Auto Damage Appraiser assesses damages to property (primarily auto) and ensures fair, accurate, and timely claim settlements, with a strong understanding of Florida-specific regulations and repair practices.

In Short

• Inspect and appraise damaged property (auto or home), either in-person or virtually.
• Prepare detailed, itemized repair estimates using industry-standard software.
• Determine repair versus total loss thresholds and recommend next steps.
• Review photos, videos, and documentation submitted by claimants.
• Collaborate with adjusters, repair facilities, and policyholders.
• Ensure compliance with all state regulations and ethical standards.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for claims handling.
• Stay up to date on Florida repair laws and appraisal practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
• 2+ years of experience in property or auto damage appraisal.
• Presentable and reliable vehicle suitable for daily field work.
• Florida All-Lines Adjuster License preferred.
• Proficient with estimating software such as CCC One, Audatex, or Xactimate.
• Strong knowledge of Florida insurance and repair laws.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
